Dr. Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, born on January 15, 1955, was Osun State’s first civilian governor (1992–1993). He established a polytechnic in Iree, a college of technology in Esa-Oke, and completed the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, enhancing education and communication.
He later served as a senator for Osun West in 2007 and 2015 and was known for providing scholarships to support poor students. Dr Isiaka Adeleke passed away on April 23, 2017.
Today, his son, Hon. Tunji Adeleke, is dedicated to continuing his father’s legacy and contributing to the development of Osun State.
