Famous American actress, Angelina Jolie has opened up on why she stopped singing.
According to the star, she stopped singing because of her ex-boyfriend’s brutal criticism of her voice.
She recalled that her ex wasn’t kind to her about singing so she assumed that she couldn’t sing.
Speaking in a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter, Jolie said the criticism affected her mentally and she adapted to her ex-boyfriend’s opinion as her reality.
“I don’t sing. I had somebody in my life who was not kind to me about singing. It was a relationship I was in. And so I just assumed I couldn’t really sing. I’d been to theatre school, so it was weird that it even had an effect on me. I just kind of adapted to this person’s opinion,” she said.
